Biography
As a journalist, I've been covering science & technology and high-tech businesses for 20 years. I worked as a full-time staff writer at Nikkei (equivalent to the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times) for 13 years before becoming freelance. I am originally from Tokyo, Japan, but currently live in Silicon Valley, CA. My main interest is in how the technologies and markets for consumer robots will evolve in the next 10 years.

《略歴》1989年北海道大学工学部応用物理学科を卒業後、日本経済新聞社入社。科学技術部、国際部などを経て、1997-2001年、同社シリコンバレー支局記者。2002年に日経を退社し、現在はシリコンバレー在住のフリーランス･ジャーナリスト。コンシューマー向けロボットの開発･市場動向に最大の関心があり、この分野の米国を中心とした海外における最新情報を「GetRobo Blog」と「GetRobo Premium」で発信する。日本のロボット･ニュースを英語で提供する「GetRobo English」も運営する。
